Today (Monday) we attended the cornerstone-laying ceremony for the "Arena" in Afula

At a ceremony attended by the heads of the regional authorities, Dani Atar (Gilboa) and Noam Jumaa (Beit She'an), the owners and management of Hapoel HaEmek, business figures and sporting figures, the Mayor of Afula laid the cornerstone for the construction of the Toto "Arena" in Afula.

The owner of Hapoel HaEmek, who are set to play at the Arena, Gideon Yadin, said: "For us this is an exciting and significant moment, in which a dream becomes reality. Hapoel HaEmek is far more than a basketball club; it is an extraordinary club, the first of its kind in the country, built on a unique regional partnership between the authorities of the valley, a partnership that embodies unity, mutual responsibility and a genuine desire to advance the whole community. We are proud to be part of this endeavour, and we look forward to the moment when we step out onto the new floor, see the stands filling up and showcase the unique model of cooperation and community spirit that we have built here together."
